Eoraptor 21.5" Dinosaur Plush Triassic Stuffed Animal

Eoraptor lunensis is a Triassic dinosaur found only at Ischigualasto Provincial Park in Argentina, which is the sister park of Arizona’s Petrified Forest National Park. Its name means ‘Dawn thief from the Valley of the Moon.’  This dinosaur is not a ‘raptor’ at all but instead is a small member of the group of long-necked dinosaurs, the sauropodomorphs, which reached extraordinary sizes later in the Mesozoic Period.  Along with Herrerasaurus, Eoraptor is one of the earliest dinosaurs anywhere in the world.  Ischigualasto and Petrified Forest share sedimentary rocks of Late Triassic age which are full of important fossils of plants and animals like Eoraptor that help paleontologists understand the evolving life on our planet.
