Jellyfish have been in existence for at least 500 million years, making them the oldest multi-organ animal group. Jellyfish are also generally carnivorous, feeding on planktonic organisms, crustaceans, small fish, fish eggs and larvae, and other jellyfish. They hunt using their tentacles to stun their prey.

A group of Jellyfish is called either a “smack” or a “smuck”.

The largest jellyfish ever recorded was over 119 feet long! Most jellyfish can reach a maximum of 7 feet wide!
