Large Crinoid Fossil

These ancient sea lilies first appeared about 300 million years before the dinosaurs and their ancestors still live today. As a marine fossil we can see many of the animal's structure, from its stem to its arms which grabbed food from the ocean's current and even the mouth area called the calyx.
