The Mosasaurs were not technically dinosaurs, but large marine reptiles (like crocodiles). They dominated the seas from about 90 million years ago until 66 million years ago. Fossil remains are found all over the Earth showing they were an average of about 13 feet in length, but some grew to as large as 56 feet! Mosasaurs ate anything and everything in the water, including hard-shell animals.
